Have you Ever

Have you ever is a new album of songs written, recorded and produced by Claudia Molitor with additional words from poet Brian Patten and writer Graham McKenzie.

“This new Album greets song form with the usual fearlessly original force that Molitor throws at all her work. It flits joyfully from eardrum bashing electronica to delicate piano, gravelly cello or sweet accordion guided by her mesmeric vocals.” Jo Hutton in the July 2022 Wire edition

The album is released by nonclassical and can be bought from Nonclassical

Listen to My World

Listen to my World reflects on what it is that makes us feel included or excluded from a place or space, and proposes that listening to each other’s experiences of these spaces and places could afford us a way to be more empathetic and generous toward each other.

This publication includes the stories of the participants, Adele Jones, Marisa De Picker, Pauliina Näsänen, Razane H. and Samal Susu; a CD with the music from the installations, text and images from the installation and two specially written controbutions from Ethiray Gabriel Dattatreyan and Oge Kpalukwuozu-Nwosu. The publication can be ordered by contacting info@sounds-now.eu for a charitable donation to Amnesty International.

Hausmusik Kollektiv

Hausmusik Kollektiv was a lockdown project. I asked composers and artists to create one page works that could be created, experienced or performed at home.

The book publication of these ‘scores’ can be purchased hcmf

DECAY

Decay is a contemplation on the process of decay,
a subject we are troubled by and drawn to in equal measures, because it implies decline and loss
and also opens up to possibilities of change and transformation. Be it the fermentation process of food, the patina of treasured furniture, the warm sounds of an old cello, the worn steps of an ancient building, the colourful leaves in autumn or the signs of ageing on a friend’s face that make them uniquely and beautifully themselves. Decay embraces the melancholy of loss and rejoices in the promise of change.

Artists: Alison Blunt (violin), John Butcher (saxophone), Kelly Jayne Jones (electronics), George Kentros (violin), line upon line (percussion), Claudia Molitor (piano, cello, electronics, voice), Sanne Rambags (voice), Tullis Rennie (trombone), Pete Stollery (electronics), Gerrit Valckenaers (electronics)

The Singing Bridge

The Singing Bridge is a sound work in celebration of Waterloo Bridge and its environs. This 40 minute piece is best experienced whilst walking around the area of Waterloo Bridge and taking time to enjoy the magnificent views from the bridge across London as the music of The Singing Bridge opens up a little pocket of stillness and reflection for the listener, to take them temporarily out of the pounding urban soundscape relentlessly crashing past them, to give an opportunity to say a cordial “hello” to this engineering marvel that is Waterloo Bridge and a “thank you" to the people behind its existence.

The Singing Bridge is available from NMC Recordings
